Thousands of Palestinians have begun their journey back to northern Gaza after weeks of displacement. The coastal Rashid Road has become the only lifeline, as families travel by any means possible, carrying what little remains of their belongings. Along the way, they pass newly destroyed residential buildings — a stark reminder of the devastation that hit these areas. Entire neighborhoods, including the surroundings of the Nitharim Corridor, have been reduced to rubble. Despite the destruction, civilians continue to walk this rough, debris-covered road in hopes of starting life again among the ruins.
